Today's two cents

I have always like quotes.  Like anything else some are more powerful to me than others.  In December I heard one that I started quoting.  The other day I was printing a paper for Logan for school and noticed he used this quote.  "DIE HOW YOU LIVE".  It's pretty powerful if you take a moment to absorb what it is saying, and for a 16 year old to use it in a school paper was somewhat surprising to me but very powerful.  Sometimes we forget that our children are watching everything we do and say.  I am so glad that I have worked my a$$ off to set a good example for my kids.  Everything I have ever done has been for my family and sometimes it feels like its not enough but they see me.  My kids truly feel like I hung the moon and for that there is no price I won't pay.

Enough of that, here is my quote for today.  It's slightly less powerful but man is it 100% accurate.

Snow - GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!

After several feet of snow and being stuck at the house with no way in or out, I am so over this.  However today some really great friends came over in their 4X4, snow blower, and actual snow shovels and cleared a path for my car.  Man I have never looked forward to work at Target in my life.  I am not sure how the roads are and maybe venturing to DC is a bit much for now but man Target never looked so good in my life.  Thank you Lord for giving me the friends in my life that I have, I wouldn't know what to do without them.  I'm very independent but sometimes a girl needs a little help.

Storm Jonah continued

A friend asked how many hats I had since every photo he saw I was in a different hat so I thought it's photo shoot time with the selfie stick.  I mean if you can't have fun and laugh at yourself what is the alternative??  I had more but you get the idea.........  You gotta love life

Jonah - Blizzard of 2016

So far this storm has given us about 14 inches of snow in less than 24 hours.  I guess I was not prepared as usual and wasn't following the news (no surprise there) and didn't really think we would get all this snow.  I figured they would be wrong but of course this time they were not.  We still have snow coming down until about 11 PM tonight so who knows really how much we will actually end up with.  My friends live nearby and have the most remarkable machine.  The yellow hummer I am so in love with that truck.  They plow threw this crazy snow like its melted butter, meanwhile how long will it be before my car will not be buried???  We went out today for coffee and a little fun and helped a couple people get out.  Its crazy how much fun life can be when there is no stress and no drama.  Just peace and tranquility.

Then I got the call that my papers were finally delivered/accepted at 10:55 am today.  Man best news I've heard in forever.  In 61 days (Yes it's already marked on my calendar) I will be given a court date and my divorce will be final.  Finally I will be done with this chapter of my life and I couldn't be happier about that.  2016 has already been an amazing year for Logan and I and it just keeps getting better.  I am finally Living the Life!!!!!!!!!!!

State of Emergency

2016 snowmagedan has arrived and I couldn't be more excited.  I've worked today, went to the gym and Target to pick up a few last minute supplies and now what to do.  I decided to take the Diva (Sheeva) out for a walk on the farm.  Girl hates some rain but she is like a kid in a candy store with snow.  I bundled up and ventured out.  OH MY it's so cold but at this point I have already said the word "Walk" to her so she is not having anything else.  We went for a 30 minute walk, well I walked, this girl was flying around the farm like she was crazy.  She literally couldn't be happier.  I guess another walk is in order tomorrow.  I will try to take the same pictures tomorrow to show the difference one day makes.

Giddy again...

Logan took the picture of me right before my 2nd date with "Mr.".  I ended up changing my shoes to boots but overall you get the idea.  Dinner at the Outback, both dates so far have been fairly short, they have left an impression for sure.  Our next date is already set this time to the movies.  Can I even remember the last time I was asked to go to the movies with a man?  NOPE!

My life has certainly changed but for the record right now I am happier than I have been in years and it feels FABULOUS!

The Future is looking up.......

2016 is going to be my year.
I feel like literally on New Year’s day although I did not make any New Year’s resolutions, I felt like I had woke up a brand new person, refreshed and clean.  My past and all the previous what-if questions were gone.   I was free, free from heartbreak, free from problems, free from lies and deception, free to be Trish for the first time in forever and just live a peaceful and drama free day to day life.
I have no idea what my future has in store for me but for the first time in years I can’t wait to see what is coming next.  I’ve lost 43 pounds, I work out about 4-5 times a week, I work two jobs and I’ve begun dating.
My first date was at the National Harbor, Tuesday, January 12 and for the record he was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing, the view was amazing and honestly I felt like a Queen.  This dating thing makes me feel alive and special; I guess this is the way a man is supposed to make you feel.  (The picture below was taken by Logan right before I left for my date)

The day in the life of Trish has definitely taken a turn for the better and oh my Gosh the smile on my face couldn't be bigger.    My future is bright and the journey I am on is amazing.  Stay tuned...
